Ian King joined Gleacher Shacklock as a Senior Adviser in 2017.
Prior to joining the firm, Ian enjoyed a distinguished career of more than 40 years in the Aerospace & Defence industry. From joining Marconi as a graduate in 1976, Ian held various executive and operational management roles at Marconi and subsequently BAE Systems including nine years as Group Chief Executive prior to his retirement.
Ian is a Director of Schroders plc, was appointed Chairman of Senior plc in 2018, and is lead non-executive director for the Department for Transport and non-executive director of HS2 Ltd. In addition, for nine years he was a non-executive director of Rotork plc, latterly as the senior independent director; Ian retired from the Board of Rotork in June 2014.
